OnePlus Unveils Powerhouse Duo in China: The Flagship OnePlus 15 and Battery-Focused Ace 6

OnePlus today launched its highly anticipated new lineup in China, introducing the flagship OnePlus 15 and the performance-focused OnePlus Ace 6 (expected to debut globally as the OnePlus 15R). Both devices represent a significant leap in battery technology and performance, establishing new benchmarks for the premium and upper-mid-range segments.

The launch event highlighted the brand's shift toward extreme performance, new imaging technology, and unprecedented battery endurance across its latest portfolio.

OnePlus 15: Power Meets Performance

The new OnePlus 15 leads the charge with cutting-edge internal specifications. It is one of the first devices globally to feature the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising substantial gains in raw power and efficiency.

Perhaps the most talked-about feature is the massive 7,300mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in a mainstream flagship phone. This is paired with both 120W wired SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring that the large cell can be refilled in minutes.

Key features of the OnePlus 15 include:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Display: 6.78-inch, 1.5K LTPO AMOLED with a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate.
  • Camera System: A powerful triple-50MP setup, including a 3.5x optical zoom periscope telephoto lens. Notably, OnePlus is moving away from the Hasselblad partnership to debut its new in-house imaging engine, Lumo (DetailMax globally).
  • Durability: The phone boasts comprehensive IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.
  • Security: It features an advanced in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Pricing for the OnePlus 15 begins at 3,999 yuan (approximately $561) for the 12GB+256GB base variant. The device is slated for a global launch, including in India, around mid-November.

OnePlus Ace 6: The New Battery Champion

The surprise of the day was the OnePlus Ace 6, which doubles down on battery life and gaming performance. Positioned as a performance-per-cost leader, this phone features an even larger 7,800mAh battery—the biggest in its class—coupled with 120W fast wired charging.

The Ace 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip (the previous generation flagship SoC), which still offers exceptional performance. It also shares the flagship’s 165Hz AMOLED display and high durability ratings.

"The Ace 6 is built for users who demand the absolute maximum from their device without compromising on price," said a OnePlus spokesperson. "The 7,800mAh battery, combined with our cooling system, delivers an unparalleled gaming and viewing experience."

The OnePlus Ace 6 features a dual 50MP main camera setup and will be available in China starting October 30, with an expected launch in other markets as the OnePlus 15R. Its base price starts at 2,599 yuan (approximately $364).

The twin launches indicate a clear strategy from OnePlus to dominate both the premium flagship and high-performance segments, with battery longevity and next-gen processing at the core of their offerings.
