Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading SUV manufacturer, is planning to launch three new SUV in India in 2024. The new vehicles are expected to be a mix of petrol, diesel, and electric models.
The first new SUV is a facelifted version of the XUV300, which is a popular subcompact SUV in India. The facelifted model is expected to feature a new front fascia, interior, and infotainment system. It is also expected to be offered with a new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The second new SUV is a five-door version of the Thar, which is a popular off-roader in India. The five-door Thar is expected to be larger and more spacious than the three-door model. It is also expected to be offered with a wider range of engine options, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine.
The third new SUV is an electric version of the XUV700, which is a popular midsize SUV in India. The XUV700 electric is expected to be powered by a 80 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor powertrain. It is expected to offer a range of over 400 kilometres on a single charge.
Mahindra has not yet announced the launch dates for the three new SUV. However, it is expected that the XUV300 facelift will be launched in the first half of 2024, the Thar 5-door will be launched in the middle of 2024, and the XUV700 electric will be launched in the second half of 2024.
The launch of three new SUVs in 2024 is a significant move for Mahindra. The company is looking to expand its SUV lineup and compete with other manufacturers, such as Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. The new SUVs are also expected to help Mahindra meet the growing demand for SUVs in India.
The XUV300 facelift is expected to be a popular choice for buyers looking for a stylish and affordable subcompact SUV. The Thar 5-door is expected to appeal to buyers who are looking for a more spacious and comfortable off-roader. The XUV700 electric is expected to be a major player in the growing electric SUV market in India.
